Hello Finaluans! Or is that Finaulians? Finaluites? Well whatever it is, greetings one and all! Just submitted my character and looking forward to roleplaying with everyone here! I'm a jobless, college student bum pursuing a degree in history although I'm not quite set on what I want to do with it. Maybe teach, maybe write, maybe try to find work at a museum. I don't know yet. Anywho I'm a big scifi nut, and I've done roleplaying on some Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and Andromeda sites, I've never done fantasy before though! In real life though I'm obsessed with Magic: The Gathering, a little Dungeons and Dragons (Pathfinder variant), and the Dragon Age series. For fantasy books I've got all of David Eddings, Tolkien, a little Terry Brooks, the first three books in A Song of Ice and Fire series, the Dragonlance series and a ton more on my shelf. Right now I'm reading Harry Turtledove's Worldwar series in which aliens invade during the Second World War. Well I think that's enough rambling for a hello post -Varan

Well, Welcome to the collection of Finalu-whatever-we-ares! Which makes me think, we really do need an official title. Anyhoo, Tolkien. I already love you. You can't argue with that. You just can't. I've heard of A Song of Ice and Fire, and been told to read it, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Seems like the series is a good read, though.
And it's okay, we all ramble. You should see me on a fandom rant. Gosh, can you even call that JUST rambling, anymore?
And, again, welcome. Hope you have fun trying out fantasy roleplay. ;D

Thankyou! Ice and Fire is great. But reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly long. I'm planning on reading the Fourth and Fifth books over the summer, so I can take it all in without worrying about essays and whatnot. Right now I think right now I could go on a nice rant about Once Upon A Time

. . . Do I know you? xD No, seriously. You are so similar to my family it's almost scary . . . Everyone except for me reads the SoIaF series and watches Game of Thrones. My family loves sci-fi shows, my dad especially, and he loves Battlestar Galatica. My mom, dad, and I all watch OUaT(honestly I was disappointed with last Sunday's episode) and my sister, who is also on this site, is also a college student. :3
Oh, yeah, welcome. xD

I think you... are me. Seriously.
Ahem. Anyway, I'm a college student too, also like sci-fi, and am currently on the beginning of the fourth book of A Song of Ice and Fire. See? TWINS.
EDIT: Oh, and I used to read a LOT of the Dragonlance books. Haven't for years though. I actually think I have a few on my shelves that I didn't get around to reading, either.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Ugh that last episode. Afnhsudhfuehsufisheufhseuf. Loved the Cora backstory stuff though. I reread Dragonlance a few months ago, when I remembered that I hadn't read them for years SO much more I could say but so sleep deprived I'm not sure it would make sense. Listening to 'In The Navy' By the Village People probably isn't helping.

HA, oh Game of Thrones. I can't wait until this season starts. I'm glad they've split the third book into 2 seasons, so it gives me more time to finish the fourth.
